I finished my minimal edit on this image and I just want to keep staring at it.
I call these sweet, happy, little flowers wild sunflowers, but I'm not sure they are sunflowers at all. They grow in the ditch banks and roadsides all over. I've seen them grow as tall at 12-15 feet (I'm not kidding!)
But this on had had to eek our its existence in a dry inhospitable field... but still it does its part to delight the eye and gladden the heart.
