Early each spring my poor ivy bed, right by the front door looks like a patch of sticks; the deer have stripped off all the leaves during the winter. We have an understanding- I don't trim the ivy... they do!
But now in late spring it is beautiful, shiny, green and succulent; it makes me glad that the deer have all moved up to higher country with the cougars!
And speaking of cougars [you know, the 4-legged kind], Gordon and Harley saw one tonight up the left fork of Hobble Creek Canyon... following the deer.
