231- Praying Mantis

I must be the bug charmer this month! First the dragon fly, then the bee and now a praying mantis. This little fellow lives out at Camille's school and allowed me to get up close and personal!

I just love how praying mantises change color like a chameleon. What an adaptable guy! (bwahahahaha)

absolutely amazing shot! Perfect place to capture it too, I have only seen one in a bush once and you try and get a good shot there :) Love it!

Dragon Flies, Bees, Praying Mantis...all good bugs. Great shot of this guy. I had a praying mantis living in the herb pot outside our back door...watched him grow up from a wee lad. Went outside one evening and saw Al had something hanging out the side of her mouth. It was MY PRAYING MANTIS. I aked her "What is it?" and usually she'll drop what she has and show me. Not this time. CHOMP! Sad day.
