One of the the workshop presenters, Ben Knowlton, a Seminary teacher, was teaching about the scripture found in Revelations 3:20-
- Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Then he made the comment "Jesus doesn't knock and run".
That phrase hit me very strongly as I mentally thought about all the times I've been *ding-dong-ditched*. I could feel the frustration I have when I get to the door (and it is usually late) and find that it was just a prank.
BUT THAT IS NOT HOW OUR SAVIOR BEHAVES! He has promised that he will stand at the door and knock... and wait... and wait... and wait... and then when we let him into our hearts he will feed us! What a marvelous blessing!
